CameraBag 2 CameraBag 2

Best Filter-Focused photo editing app available

I have downloaded so many applications that have promised stunning photo editing results (based on the promo pics on their appstore pages) and I’ve bounced between the same 2 experiences with all of them.

The first experience is; the application does not have “easy” to work-with filters. I have to spend a long period of time fine-tuning and manipulating the editing tools to get the photo to look the way I want, rather than simply applying a filter and then manipulating that filter’s settings (like in Instagram, as an example).

The second experience is; the application has the number of filters it says it does in the application description, but they’re so lacking in quality it’s hard to describe them without sounding “mean". I wind up paying anywhere from $6 to $35 and when I open the application I see the filters are horrid. After having feasted my eyes upon the disaster of filters in one particular application, I found myself thinking “it looks like a 6th grader threw these filters together”, it was that bad. I mean, who wants to pay for an application that is full of filters - 6 of which turn your photo a completely single color; one turns your photo green, the other blue, the other yellow, the other red, the other - a deeper red… the entire photo turns a single color, essentially. They tell you there’s 100+ filters to work with and it’s true, but the usability of these filters? Is extremely minimal (I think that’s a generous assessment).

This application has functional, quality, filters. And the quicklook option is great. It’s useable and it’s functional, and it’s a necessity I look for - a preview window that actually works.

Thank You to the makers of this application!

Update:

After using this application a bunch I have a suggested function for the developers to add:

I love the QuickLook option and thought Id throw out a suggestion that would make saving photos with CameraBag2 an easier and quicker process.

For me, I like to save each photo a number of different times with a number of different filters. Right now I have to do that save - and naming each file I save - manually. However, if you added a sort of "Quick Save" option for each thumbnail in the QuickLook page, that would save users an incredible amount of time.

What I would love to see is a quick save option for each thumbnail, with each filter having a suffix (of my choosing) simply added to the end of my existing photo name.
It could be that simple.

So (in the Quick Look layout) every time I want to save a photo with a different filter I simple right click the thumbnail, choose "quicksave", and the application adds a suffix to my existing photo name, and saves it to the folder I set it to save to.

A couple of clicks, and the save is complete, then Im off to save that same photo with another filter... and so on and so forth.

I LOVE this application and look forward to using it more!
