batch processing does NOT work~~

Please fix the batch processing~~~~~~~

Cool filters - much like many, many, many other photography apps it lets you apply one click effects. I couldnt get it to save because whenever I tried saving to DESKTOP the program crashed. Now I save to DOCUMENTS and it seems to be working… so back to 4 stars. The filters are nice, editing them is easy, and the workflow is fairly transparent.

Been using this program for a couple years now and must say it is the best 30 dollars I have ever spent. My go-to app for editing. My portfolio thanks you, CameraBag 2.

This truly is a great app! I use it on nearly every single photo I edit. The interface and the quality of effects is outstanding. I would love to be able to rate this 5 stars but… the batch processing is not working. As reported by other users too, no matter the settings, the batch processing outputs nothing. Note however that this is not an issues unless you actually have to apply the same exact effects to more than 3 pictures at a time (more than 3 seems to me to be where it will be faster to set up a batch process than applying a saved preset to individual pictures). I still recommend this app. To the developers: please fix this issue and I will upgrade to 5 stars immediately.

What in the world happened? They had a great easy to use app with tons of filters, and simple editing options for when i am feeling more minimalistic, a fun easy ways to costomize and play with your photos, and when they updated the took them all away and gave me a cheap version of the former aplication. There are less filters, all of which are very similar, all the frames are gone(not that i used them) It left me feeling like a kid whos lollipop had been stolen, rolled in the muck and mire and then handed back to me, “its the same lollipop”, Uhm no it isn’t! I dont even want it anymore, i could have saved the money(which i think was a lot) and saved myself the heartache!

I adore this app, it is a great app for playing around with a photo when not in the mood for super serious changes or a super quick edit. However, when the mood strikes to make more serious adjustments it does a gorgeous job as well. It reads RAW files very well and does a beautiful job in converting the data into something editable. The adjustments leave a lot of room, they can be small or large, for those wanting heavy filters or just lighter more professional touch ups. A Comment to the user who gave the app one star: If you go onto the companies website you will find all the filters you had before and more. Follow the instructions and you’re all set and will have your large library of filters back. The filters are not gone forever.

Can I get my money back

I love editing my photos in Adobe Lightroom but sometimes I don’t have the minutes necessary to edit the photos to a creative state. CameraBag is great because it has so many amazing presets to help extract the maximum amount of creative expression from every photo. Quick and easy - that’s how I like my program.

I liked this App, and used it a often. But since installing this latest update, the App will no longer start up on OSX10.6.8. Reported the problem to the developer over a week ago, but have not heard anything back.

Thanks for putting back original filters.

I liked using your preset filters and mix and matching them with others. I’m glad you put it back.

Very good app

It has been around for a long time, and it’s great to see developers actually taking care of their products. Good job.

CameraBag has a great workflow thats very different from any other photo software Ive used: everything affecting the image is clearly shown in the breadcrumb tiles at the bottom, so you can easily tweak values on anything, or rearrange the order of effects. You can then save any set of adjustments as a filter. One of my favorite things is to just save my most commonly-used adjustments, like exposure, luminance contrast (my favorite contrast adjustment -- havent seen it anywhere else), and so forth as a "filter" for quick access when Im working on photos. This workflow and the wide array of advanced color and light adjustments make this a great secret weapon for photographers.

In my first review I was heated bc the app was updated right before a major project was due. the crashing, the missing filters, the inablity to save pictures was infuriating. The developers DID respond to my requests and i think it’s important to note that they were consistently working to resolve each of the issues. the app is working just as great as ever and i am thankful.

Simple and it works but it’s not revolutionary and certanily will not replace photoshop or LR. No histogram here? For simple corrections is fine for most people and the layout is easy to learn. But for those who use Photoshop and LT this is a waste of your money. And if you don’t want to sign up for an Adobe subscription this is not a replacement. For me it was a waste of my money because it is not as sophisticated as I thought.

I personally do not like this app: - UI is horrible. Ugly and not user-friendly at all - Effects is really bad and not useful for my photography - Crashes constantly on my mac - There no user support at all - Too much overpriced for what you get

Tired of fumbling through actions or presets to enhance your pictures? I was. Sometimes professional imaging programs are like driving a Corvette to pick up the kids at school. CameraBag 2 is different because it almost entirely eliminates the learning curve when it comes to image enhancing (I say enhancing instead of editing because there are no cloning or image retouching tools here). True, it is a little overwhelming with it’s choices but it makes up for it with easy to see photo enhancements. WYSIWYG in it’s purest form. It’s quick and features thousands (or millions. I don’t know, math isn’t my thing) of visual combinations to give your photos a unique look. You can use the presets, tweak them, or make your own. If you want to give your photos a visual kick in the pants, this is your program. BUT where CameraBag2 stumbles a bit is in resizing and viewing. I personally like to zoom in and see the details but sadly you are sort of stuck with the default screen size. Basically no zooming in or out. It does have resizing tools but I found them lacking. These negatives are minor and did not affect my 5 star rating. I have been using CameraBag 2 for years and it keeps getting better.

Yes, I come from years of using Lightroom and Photoshop, but this app does a wonderful job on a smaller, simpler scale. You should consider it as either an adjunct to your current photo editing tools, OR as an easy-to-learn big step up from the most basic editors. I’m finding that Camera Bag’s quick response, and its smaller overhead/drain on any system, makes it a wonderful go-to app for quick touch-ups, and even more! Too bad one user bought the app without trying it first. A generous trial period is offered by going to the company’s website! It only took me a couple of hours of trial before I was sold. And BTW, the price is $5 less here on the APP STORE than the price on the web site, so buy it here. (Hurry, before they realize they’re charging too little!!) ;-)

I believed everyone who loves this app. But it crashes consistently using Mavericks (10.9.5) on my Mac Pro. (No kidding, 50% of the time.) If you’re running a setup similar to mine, save your money and avoid this app.

CAMERA BAG 2 QUIT UNEXPECTEDLY. I’ve written support. I’ve googled solutions. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. I’ve also PAID FOR THIS WITH MY MONEY. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE IT.

I would have given this program 4.5 stars, if that were an option. I love the variety it offers for manual adjustments and if i want to go with a preset, there are plenty to choose from. I’ve had to contact them on occasion and somebody actually got back to me quickly. Great customer service. Downside: No zoom feature and no actual editing (fixing blemishes, “photoshopping” out objects) but that’s just being picky. Also, there is no saving within the program. I just save pics to my desktop and move them from there. I LOVE being able to resize pictures. For example, 640 x 640 is the perfect size for Instagram pics, and it’s easy to do with this program. Overall, almost two heart thumbs up.
